The Tenth Meeting
-October 24, 2019

Last meeting our student professor talks about the QR code, the importance of Reflection and the Portfolios.

What is QR Code?

QR code (abbreviated from Quick Response code) is the trademark for a type of matrix barcode (or two-dimensional barcode) first designed in 1994 for the automotive industry in Japan.

In practice, QR codes often contain data for a locator, identifier, or tracker that points to a website or application.

History :

The QR code system was invented in 1994 by the Japanese company Denso wave. Its purpose was to track vehicles during manufacturing; it was designed to allow high-speed component scanning.

The Importance of the Self-Reflection

The importance of the Self-Reflection is that Self-Reflection helps to build emotional self-awareness. By taking the time to ask yourself the important questions, you gain a better understanding of your emotions, strengths, weaknesses and driving factors. Once you understand important aspects of the self, you become better able to adapt to changing situations and tough circumstances.

The importance of the Portfolios

The importance of the Portfolios is that exhibits the student's effort, progress, achievements, and competencies that the students gained during the course.

Examples of Porfolio
•Scrapbook
•ClearBook
•Electronic Portfolio
•Online Portfolio

That's all the things that has been discussed for today's meeting and I've realized that reflection is really important thing to do in our everyday lives.

Basically, instructional materials are materials that is used in teaching. There are a lot of instructional materials that is being in today's modern education.

Unit Test
-October 3, 2019

Last week, I talked about the things that our professor taught us and the things I've learned from what she said. For today's blog, I'm going to talk about the things that I've learned for this meeting.

During the Unit Test

For today's meeting, we had our very first unit test and I found that test very realistic and at the same time, it's a challenging test. It is because, the questions in that test are based to the real life situations as a teacher. By the way, our unit test is essay type and all the questions are all about "what are you going to do as a professional teacher". In one of the questions in the test, this question made me really wonder, "what are the things that you can make to help the future generations of learners". My insight in that question is, I'am going to create a robot. Since we are in computer hardware course, the robot that I'm going to make is a kind of robot that possess an artificial intelligence and within that artificial intelligence, I will install all the teaching methodologies that I've learn throughout my college years. That's what I answered in that question. All the questions in that test are just like that. Although, at the last part of the test, I didn't managed to answer the last two questions because I don't know what to answer and I'm not fully prepared for that test.

After the test

Our student teacher, also talk about what is the proper format in making presentations or the 8 tips of an effective PowerPoint presentation. Basically, to have a beautiful presentation, you have to use big font size, more images, the color is good to the eyes of the listener and should be colorful.

What I've learned for today's meeting

• Be always prepared and always review all of your notes.
• 8 tips for an effective PowerPoint presentation.

  • Be creative
  • Use Colors
  • Use Good fonts
  • DON'T PUT TOO MUCH TEXT
  • Use Images
  • Make it big as possible
  • Infographics
  • Get inspired
